C272 Yellow Brass delivers the characteristic bright yellow appearance that most people associate with brass, combined with mechanical strength and hardness levels comparable to higher-purity copper alloys. With a copper content of 62–65% and approximately 37% zinc, along with controlled trace levels of lead, iron, nickel, and tin, this alloy exhibits exceptional cold-working characteristics. It is not suited to hot-working processes, making it the alloy of choice wherever cold fabrication methods are employed.
